Beautiful town of Hamnoy

This shot was taken at the Pointe Saint Mathieu early in the morning.

I did another version of my "Two on the Top" photo after having printed it on a very large canvas, as I saw some minor distractions I wanted to get rid of. So here you find the final version. The view is taken around sunset at Neist Point, Isle of Skye, Scotland.

It was an extremely calm morning which produced nice reflexions of the mountains in the water. As the sun was rising, the landscape became golden.

The small fishing village of Hamnøy is the most pittoresque village I have ever seen. I captured this well known vista, showing the small red rorbuer (fisherman houses) in the greater context of this grand landscape. The light was extremely soft as it was diffused by some clouds that were moving during my 60 second exposure.

The Pointe Saint Mathieu is one of the most iconic places in the Bretagne. I wanted to capture the beauty of this well known spot by trying some novel compositions. This is an "homage" to the well known GR34 walking route.

As the sun rises very slowly in winter on the arctic circle, I had a lot of opportunities to take some shots of Reine. I loved the violet-pink colours before the sun got a bit higher and illuminated the whole scene.
